On the fertile terraces on our land we have about 50 fruit trees of different species. Pears, apples, plums, cherries, oranges, lemons, anona, figs, guava, hazelnuts, grapefruit, peaches, almonds, kaki fruits and the like. It is partly self-sustainable, the surplus we sell on the weekly Monchique-market and we sell our lemons to an organic greengrocer.
Besides fruits we grow our own vegetables for our own needs. We are also experimenting with cash crops, like sweet potatoes and artichokes. We also make goatcheese. Our chickens have eggs that we also sell on the local market.

Time for our  Transitionsong.
