About Terra do Milho

A piece of Land of 3,8 hectares (9,36 acres)  in the mountains of Monchique in the Algarve, Portugal, with fruit trees, cork oaks, Medronho bushes, an always flowing river, sometimes with wild boar, two houses and a Medronho distillery, about 25 kilometres (15,5 miles) from the sea.
Our Land is called Terra do Milho, because in the past farmers grew maize here and “Milho” is the Portuguese word for maize.
We grow about 15 varieties of fruit here, among them a lot of oranges en lemons of course, and we also grow Medronho, of which the traditional liqueur is made.
We are running a trading commerce from here.
