Making Wine

In August we harvested our first wine grapes. These grapes grew spontaneously on our land. We are making some wine from the grapes on spontaneous fermentation. Until now the taste is promising… Lots of fruit, Palomino with a little raspberry. This year we will have approximately 15 litre of wine of those wild grapes. At christmas we will open the first bottles; somebody has to do it. Earlier this year we planted quite a bit of trincadeira, touriga national, aragones and shiraz. It will take a few years before they will give grapes, but so far so good with the grapes that are already there.
